An old Tyzack brass back tenon saw with a thick, heavy brass spine.
This saw hardly looks like it has been used and has the nice touch of still being in its Tyzack packet (not something we have seen before), probably one of the best examples out there.
The brass back is marked 'W.Tyzack Sons & Turner Ltd, Sheffield, England, No 120'.
A full blade etching remains.
Beech handled is fitted with 3 brass buttons, medallion is marked 'W.Tyzack. Sons & Turner Ltd, Sheffield'.
TPI: 15
Blade length: 12"
For general info about this saw, see the Tyzack 120 Tenon Saw review on FindMyTool.co.uk
Condition: straight blade, all teeth present, looks and feels sharp but please assume it would benefit from a sharpen, please see photos for condition.
