An old wooden handled, nibbed rip saw.
The saw blade has a faded but visible maker mark, sawn logo, crown logo and advertising markings.
Makers mark 'F Brittain, Sheffield'.
The advertising saws 'Manufactured for Storey & Preston .... Tunbridge Wells'.
This saw came from a life-long saw collector.
We believe this saw dates C.1870-1880

Condition: blade is straight, all teeth present, the saw is pretty sharp, two of the buttons have been replaced at some point in its long history, please see photos for condition.
