Kingshott Collection - A quirk ogee and astragal moulding plane made by Nelson. We believe this plane dates from the late 1700's to very early 1800's. Retains a good length blade with good clean blade face. Has a number of marks and dents that you would expect for a 300 year (approx) old plane.
This is part of the late Jim Kingshott collection who was a true master craftsman in the woodworking industry who made and also modified tools and has written books from his extensive knowledge on them, with books like 'Making and modifying tools', 'sharpening pocket reference book', woodworkers guide to joints' to name a few.
