An early old Stanley smoothling plane no. 4 1/2.
The body is marked 'No 4 1/2'.
This plane has a Rosewood bulbous low knob and rear handle.
Retains a 'Stanley, SW (Sweetheart), Made In USA' plane iron.

Condition: all parts move freely, front knob has a couple of small shrinkage splits, the top of the plane side has a small ding/split (see photos), please see photos for condition.
