An unusual size steel shoulder rebate plane 11/16" wide made by Spiers Ayr with Rosewood infills and wedge.
Plane iron is marked 'J. Howarth, Cast Steel'.
Blade, wedge and body are all marked with the assembly number '1'.
Retains a good clean, fine mouth.
Sole width: 17.5mm (11/16")
Sole length: 229mm (9" approx)
Condition: infill at rear has a 11mm split, please see photos for condition
