A lovely old, wide Gunmetal shoulder plane no. 20E made by Norris, London.
This well-made plane has a steel sole, good clean tight mouth, Ebony infill and wedge and good length plane iron. Wedge, blade and plane body are all marked with same production number ‘1’.
The front nose is clearly marked 'Norris London' and also has the nice touch of being marked 'Sold By Buck & Ryan'.
Overall a very good example of a Norris 20E Shoulder Plane.

Sole length: 196mm (7 3/4”)
Condition: a couple of tiny, tiny nibbles to cutting edge of plane iron, some minor pitting/black staining to sole, please see photos for condition.
